Shots and a Poser!

Day 59....Well, 2 months are now complete. Only 10 months to go. Today, we had to take Landon to Kaiser for his 6 month appointment. This means shots! Yuck. Landon is now a whopping 15 pounds and 3.4 ounces, 25 inches long, and not quite sure what the head measurement is. Our pediatrician said he was not the biggest guy but was tracking along perfectly. He does have a big head but not huge like Hunter's was at the same age. Landon only cried for about 10 seconds after his shots. This picture of him crying is a first in this project. There was bound to be one. Hunter saw my camera came out and he said "mama, you take my picture." So, he sat on the floor and gave me this face. ADORABLE!!!

Fish Face, Wobble Goggles, and A Sleeping Baby

Day 58...It was a busy day of trying to get things done (still working on it). I am posting these way early because I am leaving shortly for an Oscar Viewing Party at a friend's house. I was trying to get Hunter to do the fish face and this is what he came up with. As for the goggles on his head, they are not any ordinary goggles. They are Imagination Mover Scott wobble goggles. He has not taken them off very often. I took this quick shot of Landon sleeping. He is so peaceful.

Imagination Movers and a Cutie!

Day 57...We took Hunter to his first concert! Yes, his first concert. We took him to see the Imagination Movers at the Nokia Live. It was a really good show. We would totally go again. Of course, we didn't leave there without getting a few souvenirs...wobble goggles, a movers t-shirt (that will be worn as PJs for awhile), and light up glow sticks. Tony and I decided a few months ago that we were going to spend individual time with each of our boys. Today was all about Hunter. We dropped Landon off at my moms. We had a nice lunch at Miguel's and then drove to LA. However, I sadly have one REGRET, Tony (sorry babe I am going to blame this one on you...but I still LOVE you) told me to leave my nice camera at home and take our small one (which I HATE). I was hoping to take better pictures but it just wasn't happening. So, the picture I got isn't the greatest. It will have to do though. I think Hunter was a little confused on where we were at. I think he was trying to figure out why the guys he watches on TV were singing on a stage and why there was a bunch of people around him. He didn't get crazy excited like he does when they come on TV. The experience was priceless though. Just watching him take it all in was fantastic.

Landon...well, what can I say. CUTIE. My mom told me that he is just so good and that we were LUCKY!!! My aunt tried to tell me while I was pregnant that the second one wouldn't be the same. Well, I would totally have to DISAGREE with her. We have the two most calm, loving boys on the planet. They are such happy boys. No fussing. An occasional tantrum from Hunter, remember he is 2.
5. They are both such good natured little guys.

I'll Get Your Boogers!

Day 56...Tonight Tony thought it would be funny to pretend to get Hunter's boogers. So, I watched them go back and forth pretending to get each other's boogers. However, then Tony told him to go get mama's boogers. This is the shot I got of him reaching for my nose. He wasn't even close. The picture was funny though. Landon was in good spirits. It appears that he had a 24 hour stomach flu. There has been no throwing up. Thank goodness. Tomorrow is a big day...we are taking Hunter to see the Imagination Movers at the Nokia Live.

6 months and Trucks

Day 55...Landon is 6 MONTHS today. I can't believe it. Time sure does fly. It has been an incredible and exhausting 6 months. There was a time when I didn't think I was going to be able to exclusively pump and that be enough. Here I am 6 months later with my husband yelling at me (well, not really) because I have a RIDICULOUS amount of breastmilk in the freezer. I do mean ridiculous. I have over 70-6 ounce bottles stored up. CRAZY!!! I thought I was going to have to supplement with formula at one point. I even bought four 24 ounce cans of enfamil formula on ebay, which are still unopened in my pantry. I guess everything has a way of working itself out. However, I will admit that pumping is a pain in the BUTT!!!! I look forward to the day where I don't have to wash a gagillion bottle parts and pump parts everyday. There certainly have been challenges having two kids. However, it is all worth it. Moms always figure out a way to do it ALL. Anyways.

Landon is feeling so much better today. He hasn't thrown up at all. He has managed to keep milk down. I took a picture of him next to the same dog and in the same position on the couch. I just love his little face. Well, actually everything about him I love.

Hunter on the other hand is all about TRUCKS!!! He is sitting on a BIG truck holding two smaller trucks. It was pretty funny.

The Flu and a Tiger

DAY 54...another one bites the DUST...to the FLU that is. Unfortunately, Landon has come down with the flu. I left work early today to pick him up. Kaiser said because he is 6 months old to stop feeding him breastmilk and give him 5 mL of pedialyte every 15 minutes. If he keeps it down continue every 15 minutes for 2 hours and then increase it to 10 mL. If he throws it up wait an hour and try again. So far, he has been able to hold down two 5 mL doses, even though it is NASTY!!! He is in good spirits. I am so lucky that both of my boys are so easy going even when they are not feeling well. Hopefully this will pass quickly. Hunter on the other hand was telling us all the sounds the animals make. In this picture he just happens to be telling us what the tiger says. It is so funny. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS KID! He has such a good personality. Yes, he does have him moments. He is 2.5 years old, he is going to have them. All in all, we are blessed to have two wonderful little boys.

REALLY QUICK!!!

Day 53...Today was CRAZINESS after work. Dinner, nursing/pumping, this 365 project. UHHHH. I am trying. This post is going to be brief because I want to watch the Housewives of Miami. I know what  you are thinking...SERIOUSLY!! I can't help it. I am HOOKED!!! I guess since I am drama free for the most part I love to watch other women bicker at each other. It is hilarious. I have no desire to be like them in anyway. It is entertainment. Anyways, back to my boys. Hunter decided to eat some popcorn and a peanut M&M at the same time and this is the gem I am stuck with. A shot of Hunter with his mouth open. Landon was near asleep in his swing. You are getting sleepy!!! Well, gotta run. It is going to be a LONG night. Lots to do!!!

New Props

Day 52...Well, I enjoyed my day off with my little guys today. It is so nice to be home with them. My sister and I took a trip down to IKEA in Costa Mesa. I HAD to have three things: a doll bed (for newborn shoots), a blue chair, and a pink chair. You can't beat the price either. Hunter is sitting in the blue chair. I will have to get a better shot later. The doll bed I stained it. I didn't want to leave it as is nor did I want to paint it white. I wanted it be more earthy. I will try and use it tomorrow with Landon. Instead for Landon I used a bear beanie I won during an auction on Facebook. I can't remember the name. Anyways...Landon wasn't cooperating and this is was I got. Again, another one I will have to try again.

Chair and a suitcase!

Day 51....Since Tony had to work today, I decided to try out a couple of the props I bought recently. I scored this cute white chair for $12 from IKEA. I will definitely be going back there soon. I love that place. The only downside is that there are three and none of them are that close....Costa Mesa, Covina, and San Diego. I had Hunter pose for me and it ended up with him giving me a kissy face in protest. Can you tell? But I do love the white chair. For Landon, I decided to put him in this suitcase I got at Ross. I raided Tony's side of the closet for old shirts. Then, I was trying to decide on a stuffed animal and thought this monkey was great. My mom bought me the boy and girl set a LONG time ago. Now I have use for them as an adult instead of them sitting in a box. I stripped Landon down to his diaper and put on Hunter's tie. I absolutely LOVE this shot. I would love do this shot with a little girl and use the girl monkey, pearls, dresses. I think I know the perfect model for this too!! I will have to be calling her mama. Until tomorrow....

Peanut Butter, Jelly, and Carrots!

Day 50...Can you believe it? Only 315 more days to go. Well, today marked a milestone for Landon. He took his first shot at eating carrots. I think he was very confused. As you can tell by his face, he wasn't that into it. Which is strange to me because Hunter was totally into it. I posted the pictures of Hunter taking his first shot at carrots too. Hunter is the bottom one. They look so different. I also chose this picture of Landon because you can see his TOOTH! We will try again tomorrow.

Hunter on the other hand was making me peanut butter and jelly with his pretend food. The funny thing is that the one jar is jelly and the other was is actually peas. But I guess peas is kind of like peanut butter and jelly. It is one of his favorite things to make me. The other favorite is plastic waffles and plastic sausage and a cup with make-believe coffee. But it is DELICIOUS and CALORIE FREE! LOL!!!

Silly Boys

Day 49...Hunter kept on hiding from my camera or would run in the opposite direction. What a little stink bug. Doesn't he know that there are still 316 days left of this craziness and that he better get used to it??? LOL!! Oh well. I may need to resort to bribery at some point. Candy? Popsicles? Park? Disneyland? All good bribes right? Whatever works is my motto. Landon again is on the move. I look forward to the pictures from this weekend. He is starting solids tomorrow. Crazy.

Stickers and Smiles!

Day 48....Well, I think Hunter is on the road to recovery. He finally ate more today. He has been drinking a lot of water but hasn't had much of an appetite until tonight. We got some stickers in the mail. Tony thought it would be funny to put stickers on their faces. This is what you end up with. Not one sticker but five or six. It was pretty funny though. Landon..what can I say. I just love his little face. (And Hunter's) Landon is such a happy baby. He gets a kick out of his big brother. Hunter can always get him to laugh. It is priceless.

Two Sweet Faces

Day 47...Hunter is still feeling a little out of it. You can just tell that he is not 100%. It breaks my heart because there is not much I can do other than love him and lay with him. Last night we had a camp out in the living room. I didn't want him to get sick and not hear him. We are going to get another baby monitor that way I can see them both. He has moments though where he is the normal happy boy that he usually is. Landon is all smiles. And he is MOVING. Where has the time gone???? It seems like yesterday that Tony and I were in the hospital deciding whether I was going to have him c-section or naturally. In case  you were wondering, I had him naturally. Now he is almost six months old and has teeth. CRAZY!! I wish I could slow down time. I treasure every moment that I have with my boys, all three of them (I have to include Tony!). They are my world.

I FOUND MY FEET!

Landon has found his feet. He actually found them a couple of weeks ago. Tonight was the first night where I was able to get a picture of him grabbing them. He is so funny. One minute he is on one side of the living room and the next minute he is on the other side. Watch out Hunter. Baby on the move. Hunter is feeling better. He doesn't look sick does he??? He is still a little out of it. He has moments where he is full of energy and moments where he is just BLAH.  He was able to keep down half a PB&J sandwich. Baby steps. The doctor said they have been swamped with flu cases. It is going around. WATCH OUT. Practice good hygiene. I think that it is weird to tell people to practice good hygiene. It seems like common sense. Oh well. I guess I have to do more to prevent illness.

My Loves

Well it is Day 45, Valentine's Day. I wish it would have turned out a little better. Hunter, my oldest, ended up with a touch of the stomach flu. He threw up last night, poor little guy. He has actually been pretty lucky. This is the first time he has ever thrown up in 2.5 years. He has had ear infections, chicken pox, and the common cold. Never throwing up though. So, I had to stay home with him today (and Landon). He was totally fine today. We just rested and relaxed. We did absolutely NOTHING!!!! We did watch Shrek in 3D though. He left the glasses on long enough for me to snap a picture. They are a little too big. Landon is all over the place. He is rolling and scooting around. Watch out. Baby on the move.

Better Late Than Never

Things have been pretty crazy here the last few days. I have posted my pictures to Facebook but have been a slacker on posting them to this blog. Anyways, here they are.

Day 42: On Friday, we met up with some friends to take pictures at Dos Lagos. Hunter had a blast playing with the bubbles with his pals Tristan and Dylan. Landon doesn't need me to hold his bottle anymore. He is getting too big. Can't I just stop time????

Day 43: A Day at the BEACH!!! Yes, the beach. I was doing a photo shoot with a wonderful family at the Huntington Beach pier. I decided to bring the family along since my mother-in-law lives down the street. Hunter had a blast playing in the sand and dancing to the crazy guy playing the guitar. It was a beautiful day. Landon and his daddy are two good looking guys. Landon was all smiles when I captured this moment.

Day 44: Painting and Chillin' in the swing....I picked up some wood pieces from Michaels today for Hunter to paint. He had a blast. He might not be the next Van Gogh but it was fun to watch him attempt to paint. Landon loves his swing.

Day 41

Two really quick ones again tonight. I got home a little late because I got my hair cut and highlighted. It took a little longer than I thought...2 and a half hours. But it looks FABULOUS, so I am not going to complain. Luckily, my wonferful mom picked up my boys and my wonderful husband picked them up from my moms. I am off tomorrow and meeting up with a friend to take pictures. Good times. Hopefully, I will get some cute shots of my boys tomorrow.

Spaghetti Face and One Clean Baby!!

Day 40....It is totally by chance that the two pictures I took of my boys today are completely the opposite. Hunter had just eaten a plate of spaghetti and Landon had just taken a bath. I think Hunter is on to my picture taking though. He is starting to run from me. Tony had to grab him and tickle him on the floor to get this shot. Whatever works right??? I have some tricks up my sleeve. I will just have to try and outsmart him.

A Tiger and a Teething Baby

It is official. Landon's first tooth has poked through. I can feel it. Wasn't it just yesterday that he was born? It is crazy how fast the time is going. That is part of why I love this project. Everyday I get to take snapshot in time. Landon's teething explains why he is chewing on this bucket. He will chew on almost anything he can get his little hands on.

Hunter was showing us all his animal noises and how they move tonight. This happens to be the tiger. He is so smart like his mommy and daddy. Well, more mommy than daddy. Just kidding. I love this age so far. Hunter amazes me everyday with what he knows.

Mickey Ears and Baseball

DAY 38...I decided to grab Hunter's first Mickey ears and try them on Landon. Too stinking cute!! I need to get him his own though. Hunter and I had a blast playing his ball game. That is Hunter's way of saying baseball. Basketball is basket game, baseball is ball game, football is football game, and soccer is soccer game. It is pretty funny. He is just so smart and you can't putting anything past him. He remembers everything. So, if you tell him you are going to do something you better do it because he will hold you to it. LOL!

Football and a Thumbsucker

Day 37....SUPER BOWL SUNDAY!!! Although, not really a big deal since my team wasn't in it. That doesn't mean we didn't watch it. My mom, stepdad, sister, niece, and dad came over to watch. It was fun. Hunter had a fun time dancing around with his football during the half-time show. He loves the Black Eyed Peas. Landon is our thumbsucker. He gave up on the pacifier at three months and prefers to suck his thumb. Hunter was the same way. It was a great weekend. Here is to a 4 day week. FRIDAY OFF!!!! One of the perks of being a teacher.

Bathtime and a New Prop

Today was busy. I picked up the boys from my mom's house and then we were out running errands. While I was at Tai Pan Trading, I scored this adorable wagon. I am always looking for stuff that I can put a baby or kid in. I have so many ideas that I started keeping a notebook. Landon is a little big for this wagon but I still think it came out pretty cute. As for Hunter, I got a bathtime picture. We were playing peekaboo with the towel. I love my boys.

A little late...

I told you I would be a little late on posting yesterday's pictures. It was our 5 year wedding anniversary. So, I took the boys over to my mom's house yesterday. I had to snap these two pictures in the car before I took them. Yes, Hunter's face is a chocolatey mess. But a cute mess. Landon, what can you say...he is just so stinkin' cute. This weekend looks like it is going to be a great one weatherwise. We are headed outdoors. My goal is to take two pictures of the boys this weekend.
